We have been teaming up with London promoters Percolate for over a year now and so we thought it only right to kick start our blog with a proper introduction to our party partners in crime, music makers and shakers and general good time guys over at Percolate.
We first linked up with this self-proclaimed nomadic boogie crew back in October 2015 with our Mexican Death Disco party at Ican Studio. Once the hoards of dancing skeletons had crawled back to the underworld and the sounds of the dead mariachi band had subsided we soon realised that this was the start of a very beautiful relationship.
On Friday 30th October we will be welcoming you through the doors of Studio 338 for our first fully feature event and Hollywood blockbuster “Attack At The Premiere” Percolate have once again brought on board only the finest line up with Moodymann at the helm. Tickets available here.
Here at Mad Ferret are main aim is to bring ideas and spaces to life. Luckily for us Percolate feel the same. Combining the two means there is no doubt that we will continue to work together to create interactive and immersive experiences in extraordinary spaces with a damn good line up.
Meet Fred Letts. Fred is one sixth of the team that will be celebrating their 3rd birthday in a months time.
Firstly, take us back to where and when it all began...
I had family in Ibiza growing up, we've been going on holiday there a few times a year for as long as I can remember. That's probably where the seeds were sown.
Can you tell us about your first event? How did it go?
It was an excuse to get a bunch of mates together and have a party, we had no idea what we were doing and where it would lead but the party was great fun.
Can you introduce us to the rest of the team behind Percolate?
There are six of us that sit in the office and make the parties happen. Simon's on the bookings dealing with agents and all that jazz, Sam's in charge of looking after the Percolate community, Pat's our head of Art, Daniela makes sure all the artists arrive happy where and when they need to be there, Tom runs the Percolate booking agency, and I sprinkle a bit of magic dust here and there.
What do you think makes you different from your competitors?
We aren't chasing fame or fortune. All we care about is throwing amazing parties.
What do you think of the London clubbing scene at the moment?
It's thriving against the odds.
Who would be your ultimate booking for 2016?
What we can expect from you over the next few months and beyond?
More of the same but different if that makes sense. Our approach has always been to try and innovate and re-fresh so as never to get stale. There's talk of a record label too but that still early doors!
The only thing left for you to do? Prepare to fall in love while you have your head eaten by a 50-foot Spacemonster from the deep. Obviously.
